Cant recover vista desktop?

Ok so bare with me here but my dumbass friend that it would just be cool to install a pirated version of windows 7 on my Compaq Presario PC the runs windows vista home premium with service pack 1 and I lost the recovery disk for when we moved so a couple days ago I had an idea because i have a Compaq pc with windows vista so i went to recovery disk maker so i used some cds to make one and i booted from the disk on my desktop with pirated windows 7 it loaded the files sucsesfully and i get an error no code or anything the headline just says ERROR and it reads This PC is not supported by the System Recovery Discs you will not be able to continue to recover this system with these discs please help im afraid to take it in because its a pirated version so i think i might get in trouble thank you for help
