Does anyone have small wedding ideas?

I live in a small Alaskan town and don't have many choices for a wedding venue. So I'm limited to a couple waaay overpriced hotel lobbies or outdoors. I've chosen to get married outdoors, and I only have two more pleasant-weathered months before it gets too cold for an outdoor wedding. I need some ideas, I only want to have my fiance's and my own immediate family (maybe a few very close friends). I don't know where to begin and need some decoration ideas, and even some small wedding etiquette. How do I announce I got married to those who wanted to attend? Any info will help me, thanks so much!
