Power Cap wiring to amp?

i just wanted to know if i could use 10 awg on a 1.5 farad power cap. As i tried fitting an awg fuse holder and it blew my amp and i ended up rewiring. I just wanted to know whether i could use the wiring i have in their which is 10 awg to wire the power cap as it would save me a lot of time
