I am working on a project for which i need the values.?

my project deals with very high voltage such as 10kv &11kv in power lines.by a circuit this difference can be reduced and the reactive power has to be compensated.to do so we have a controller.the controller circuit works with a capacitor, diodes and other stuff.as this project has to be done in a lab we are trying to reduce the input voltages of the power lines from 10 & 11kv to 440v & 230v.we are using 0.05f (i.e) 50mf capacitor for filtering in high voltages.by using ratio we found that for lower voltages we could use 1.13636f of capacitor.but as 1.1 farad is too high the system reliability is in question.also the size of the capacitors matter a lot.now can such a large value of capacitor be bought commercially? is it available in stores?my professor said capacitance can be realized in some devices than to use a single capacitor.in what devices can it be realized & how can it be done?
