How to unhook power acoustik neon digital capacitor 2.0 Farads?

Every time my sub hits it shuts off my car. I was told it was a problem with the capacitor which is a power acoustik neon digital capacitor w/ 2.0 Farads. There's two wires that run from the battery through the cap to the amp. How do i remove those wires safely from the cap to the amp myself so I dont have to pay to get it pro done.
