How can i update my cracked sims 3?

I downloaded a pirated version of sims 3 a few months ago and recently got back playing it, but i accidentally updated it from the sims 3 browser and now when i go to play it, it says i need the disc. any ideas on how to solve it? if i uninstall it and re-install it im not sure if i'll have to update from the older version all over again, and lose my save games.
