Can i hook up 2 type r's to one amp?

I currently have one ten inch type r hooked up to my amp, but i want to hook up 2. they are 2 alpine swr 1022 (box is ported). the amp is an alpine mrd m1005. i realize that the peak power doesn't quite match up but the rms power is dead on. i also have a cadence 1 farad capacitor in the system, that shouldn't make a difference though with the wiring.
